CUPCAKE EXCHANGE LOCATIONS:

Safe transport and storage of baked goods are essential for preventing spoilage, contamination, and damage, especially for baked goods with perishable ingredients like dairy fillings, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.  Cupcakes containing these ingredients should be kept refrigerated before the event and properly stored during transport to the cupcake exchange. 

Event organizers are not liable for foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or adverse effects from the consumption of cakes at community events.​

Participants are expected to make careful, informed decisions based on provided information and their own dietary needs, especially in self-serve or bring-your-own-food settings.​

Following these labeling and safety guidelines helps keep all guests informed and safe and ensures personal and collective responsibility at food-centered gatherings.

Attendees with allergies or dietary restrictions are responsible for their own consumption choices at this event and should carefully review food labels and ingredient information before eating.  Cupcakes brought to an event should be clearly labeled with common allergens—such as nuts, dairy, gluten, and eggs—to help inform all attendees and reduce the risk of reactions. Labeling can be accomplished with cards and clear signage indicating the presence of allergens.  

By attending the event, participants acknowledge and consent that photography and filming will occur, and that images and videos may be posted on CUPCAKE EXCHANGE and partner social media accounts. There is no expectation of compensation, and entry to the event constitutes agreement to the use of one’s likeness for promotional, educational, or social media purposes.
